Around storytelling, the real and the imagined

Through The Tales of Zoufftgen, I offer author visits in schools (kindergarten and primary), libraries, as well as cultural and after-school venues.

These encounters take the form of live readings, exchanges and moments of transmission around storytelling, nature, and the link between fiction and reality.

A singular approach

My stories take place in Zoufftgen, a real village. During visits, children discover that the places mentioned in the tales actually exist: an old tree, a house, a dirt path…

This connection between imagination and a real place lets us anchor stories in something tangible, and opens a new way of looking at what surrounds us — the trees, the paths, the familiar places we sometimes stop seeing.

Format & flow

Each encounter is designed around the age of the children and the venue's project. Whether it's a single session, a half-day, or a programme spread over several visits, the experience generally unfolds in several moments:

  • A live, immersive reading aloud.
  • A time for exchange around the story and its secrets.
  • A discovery of the link between the tale and the real places in the forest.
  • A complementary activity around drawing, observation, or imagination.

A sensitive experience

The stories often grow from simple moments — like the tales we tell in a quiet voice at bedtime. During visits, I try to preserve that quality: one voice, a calm moment, shared attention.

A space where we listen, imagine, and where the stories take their time to exist.

Practical information

Each visit is designed around the educational, cultural or artistic project of the venue that hosts it.
